BEARSPACE exhbits PRINT NOW, an innovative exhibition of over 100 works by emerging artists based on the concept of PRINT as a medium and a repetitive process.
Artists have been selected by a panel of curators and writers who are specifically concerned with emerging art, including Julia Alvarez, Director of BEARSPACE, Kay Saatchi, collector and curator, Pryle Behrman, writer and curator of Art Projects and Mike Sims, Deputy Editor of Printmaking Today. Prices range from £25 - £700 for editioned prints and one off works. Portfolios of artwork selected by Kay Saatchi and Director Julia Alvarez will also be available, as a sample of some of the most exciting works on display.

The exhibition is presented in partnership with Arts Council England's Own Art scheme, which provides interest free loans of up to £2,000 for buyers of contemporary art (available at the London Art Fair), and Culture Label, the first online hub for cultural shopping with partners TATE, the Victoria and Albert Museum and The Whitechapel Gallery as well as emerging galleries BEARSPACE and Studio Voltaire.

BEARSPACE began as a project space in a previous public house ‘The Brown Bear’ on Deptford High Street. The gallery originally started from a belief in the potential of Deptford as an ‘arts destination’ and the enormous degree of artistic talent and self motivation of artists in Southeast London, recently descibed by the New York Times as ‘a boisterous concoction of blue-collar aesthetics and intermittent hipsterism’.
Since that time the gallery and area has grown into a vibrant hotbed of activity. BEARSPACE artists are selected for their response to contemporary culture, philosophy, with a conceptual and narrative framework to their work. BEARSPACE prides itself on discovering really interesting artists early on in their career, and promoting them through gallery exhibitions, art fairs, curated exhibitions and collaborations.
BEARSPACE’s contemporary art gallery on Deptford High Street is open to the pubic at all times during exhibitions. In addition BEARSPACE has an exclusive viewing room in Greenwich where new works by gallery artists can be viewed at a time that suits you.
